We offer replacement CDI modules for all BW200 models. The original Yamaha ignition modules have been discontinued (part numbers 54G-85540-M0-00 (kickstart only) and 1RL-85540-M0-00 (electric start)), so we worked with a US based ignition system specialist to produce digital CDI modules for these machines. These CDI boxes are durable, super water tight, and use a modern digital process that is far superior to the stock parts with 1970s technology. Both modules plug into the factory wiring harness so they're painless to hook up. We have a few more notes concerning these modules below.
1986-1988 ELECTRIC START MODULE NOTES: Brown wire on factory wiring harness is NOT used. This lead must be taped off or capped.
